Performs a variety of duties incidental to the maintenance and cleanliness of the area to which assigned.

Prepares fruits and vegetables for serving.
Cuts lemons, prepares butter chips, opens cans and portions out food.
Makes Coffee, tea and other beverages.
Pours juices and beverages.
Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is performed in kitchen and dining areas.
Steam and heat from cooking and dishwashing equipment often cause uncomfortably high temperatures and humidity.
The work area is well lighted, but usually noisy from food service activities and there is a danger of slipping on floors where food or beverages have been dropped.
Food service workers are regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigerators or freezing units.
Subject to prolonged periods of standing.
Must abide by personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures such as wearing a hairnet or hat and a clean uniform daily.
Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
